The one with... bits and pieces..

1. Things have been pretty busy in office of late.. hence the silence.

2. Seems like everyone knows nuts about that Sunway Vacation Club.. (much to my disappointment! huhu..)

3. I'm so worried about my losing ability (and will) to maintain my weight... On a second thought, scratch that word maintain. I need to LOSE weight already la damn it.. Huhu.. When I'm stress, I tend to indulge.. Likewise when I'm happy... Go figure!!! Do you know that when I first came to the firm am working in now I was only 43kg? *sigh* It's 4 yrs++ down the road now, and I'm struggling (HARD) not to let it exceeds 50kg.. It's not easy peasy now that I don't really exercise... So I'm relying heavily on the eating pattern.. Anyway, it's a good thing that recently Kerol has been worrying about his also.. ;P We went to gym (for the first time!) last Tuesday and we are going for swimming later... (please, rain rain go away will you). I hope this will continue for the rest of the weeks of the year.. :)

4. Despite the busyness, I managed to squeeze in some time with Kerol to watch movies.. My opinion --> Gone Baby Gone sucks. Horton Hears A Who is hilarious. Spiderwick is wickedly awesome. 27 Dresses is a bit of a slow pace kind, but overall a sweet and nice chick flick. Water Horse is so-so, but entertaining enough to make my eyes glued on the screen throughout.

5. I never knew there will be so much hiccups to organise a family trip (of two ;p).. Selagi accommodation cannot be confirmed we cannot proceed with the booking of flight ticket.. Sigh.. Both Kerol & I have been scrutinizing the Air Asia website like monitoring shares prices for the past 1 week..

6. Is it really true getting engaged is important as it serves as a test of sort to both of the couple in terms of the commitment wise? Yes? No? (Coz we don't plan to, you see - save budget maaaa.. :P)

7. Teringin sotong bakar laaaa... sedapnye!

Pic: Sotong bakar I had at Jalan Bellamy some time ago... *drool*

OK lah.. I guess that's all I have for now..

Till later~!

The one with... an entry seeking for response(s) ;P

Just a quick question, does anyone knows anything about Sunway Vacation Club? You know, the one where you use points for the hotel stay?

Well, normally I'm not too much bothered for replies.. but for this one question, I really dread for feedbacks, can? Pretty pleaseeeeee..? =)

Oh yeah, I'm hoping to hear for some practical experience about it (rather than the explaination on how does it works yadda yadda yadda..) Like, any setbacks whatnot.. Or, the positive points, hopefully?

Alritey.. That should be all for now.. Am in the middle of a course actually now in Sheraton, huhu. Till later k! And of course, thanking you so much in advance for your comment(s).. If there's any la kan... *hehe*

The one with... of a quick update..

Trip to JB overall has been a fun one.. We (my SM and I) worked hard and we played hard too! ;) Pushed off early morning on Wednesday with me driving, and were safely reached at the client’s place in Pasir Gudang Industrial Estate at about 11am.. Kicked off the discussion soon after and it went on up until 9.45pm.. Very tiring, but worth the time spent as all the issues discussed were sorted out by then.. *phew* The annoying part was my tonsillitis has turned into a bad sore throat, I’ve been coughing every now and then to the point of losing the voice! Huhu.. Anyway, client took us out for dinner before we made our move to the hotel.. Then came the good part of the long day, the hotel somehow messed up with the reservation so there’s no standard room available for me.. They apologized by upgrading me to the bigger room at a cost of the standard room rate.. NICE! Just what I need... :)

The next day was a public holiday, we woke up as early as 9am to enjoy the lavish buffet spread for breakfast before making our way to Singapore.. WooHooo.. ;) But the happy mode was fast turned to an unhappy mode as we were so annoyed by the massive traffic congestion at the Johor-Singapore Causeway… The checkpoint was already known for such a mega traffic jam but now with that Mas Selamat case, damn.. it was such a horror! *bugger!* It took us almost 2 hours before we passed the Woodlands Checkpoint area, after which the mode was then totally changed (by default) to cheerful all back again.. =) It was not a public holiday for Singapore, but the Orchard Road was still the busy road as ever.. Well, there’s no sales whatsoever, so we didn’t get to shop much though (just a few only ;p).. And thank God we decided to go back to JB via the Tuas Checkpoint, the traffic wasn’t that bad… So the day was nicely ended, I was more than happy.. :P

Today was spent at another client’s place.. I was a bit disappointed though because my voice still didn’t come out properly (ala2 bapok gitu kata Kerol… cis!) I didn’t get to do the presentation to the client.. So much so for the time spent to prepare the slides huh?! All in all, everything went well and by 1.30pm we made our move back to KL… Again, safely reached in one piece - Alhamdulillah..

Now am alone at home and enjoying every second of it.. :P Erin hasn’t come back from work and Mama has gone to Surau.. Kerol went for one of our friend’s (Hafizah of Gombak 1) wedding at Sime Darby Convention Centre.. I decided not to join for I know I want to have the much needed rest after the travelling.. This sore throat needs to be cured (badly!!) within this weekend, come what may.. I am so sick of feeling like sh*t coughing non stop.. God knows how many Strepsils I've taken.. Huhu.. Speaking of which, Oya called me just now to check out whether am I joining her and Nana for Bibi’s engagement in Sungai Buloh tomorrow.. I think at the rate I'm going (as far as my health is concerned) I might need to give it a pass... *sigh*

OK lah.. It's time for Friendster and Facebook now.. ;)

Till later!

Note 1: To Farah, sorry tak inform kate ade kt JB.. I know I was gonna be all tied up.. But anyway its not like you are in JB any longer kan? ;)

Note 2: To Alin, sorry jugak tak roger2 kate aku nak masuk Singapore.. The same reason applies - I know I was gonna be all tied up and it was a quick trip anyway.. Ya ampun yaaaa *pulling out a cute face like the puss in the boots* NgehNgehNgeh...

The one with... my Kuching trip.

Am back from my non-stop Kedah + JB + Kedah + Kuching trips and today at the very right moment I’m at home, feeling sick.. Huhu.. I am so drained out to the point of falling sick.. That shows how fragile I am… *pathetic hah* I’m suffering from that tonsillitis for God knows how many times, thanks to the few drinks of ‘teh 3 lapis’ in Kuching.. :P It’s very nice though, hence irresistible especially when the weather in Kuching was rather hot and sunny during my stay there..

Hoping that all is well the soonest possible for I cannot afford not to go to office tomorrow… Been out of office for 7 days now and being on MC today means I’m left with only one day tomorrow to sort out the necessary before my JB trip on Wednesday till Friday.. (Yeah, another outstation trip..) *sigh*

Anyways, to backtrack a bit… I guess (as far as timing is concerned) I must have missed out to blog about the current happenings here in Malaysia eyh? You know… the election whatnots… and the damn-how-many-A’s-do-kids-nowadays-must-ace-for SPM results… Oh yeah.. not to mention, the nenek & Datuk $iti's elder sis who made it to the AF6 first cut or something.. *like whatever*

So I guess I shall leave the press to cover those hot topics while I can proceed with my own topics aite? *grin*

Hmm tapi kan.. macam malas pulak nak update sebenarnye.. :P I’ve been on the net since 1pm just now - I got started with checking my office emails, then moving on to Friendster, to Facebook, and finally blog-hopping and for all I know before I was about to update my own blog, I’m feeling rather sick of the internet already.. Huhu…

So nanti2 lah ek… Or perhaps with some pictures with short taglines will do, can?

There are no pictures for the Kedah trip mentioned as it was purely a business trip.. (cewah bunyik macam business woman pulak.. :P) And JB trip was a quick one to attend Kerol's friend's wedding..

So most of the pictures am gonna share here would be from my trip to Kuching for Parveen's wedding.. Which means I had to give it a miss for my other bestfriend's important event - Dayana's engagement in Ipoh... *what to do* (To Dayana - I promise I'll be there on ur wedding day ok? Anyway, congrats!! Am sure it was one heck of a beautiful event of yours even without me and some other friends of ours... And to Parveen - don't feel bad ok? To all, you guys reallllly have to attend my wedding nanti ek? Hahahaha.. takde kena mengena...)

So our so called a-truly-Malaysian-rombongan to Kuching took place on Friday 14/3/2008 until Sunday 16/3/2008. Why truly Malaysian? Because the rombongan consists of Eddie & wife Shan (Chinese), Anushia & fiancé Gerard (Indian), Ruben (Chindian), and myself & Kerol (Malay).. And the reason we went to Kuching was to attend Parveen (a Singh + Chinese mix) and Ryan's (Chinese) wedding.. Go figure...! :)

To cut the stories short, here goes enjoy the pictures k...

First day

As evident, just reached Kuching.. :)

Parveen arranged for our stay to be at the Holiday Inn, which situated just across Crowne Plaza (2 mins walking distant) - the hotel where her solemnization ceremony and reception dinner were to be held.

After checked in, we were brought to this seafood place located in Kampung Buntal.. The meal was superb! We ended up with 10 (yummy) dishes altogether - crabs la, prawns la, siput buluh la, calamari la, fish la, so on and so forth, and it costed us only RM250.. *Nice!*

We were scheduled to go to the Sarawak Cultural Village, but due to the long lunch (we actually spent 2 hours for lunch!) we went to the Cat Muzeum instead.. A place err.. how to say.. kira macam kalau tak pergi pun takpe laa... :D And then at about 7.30pm, Ryan & Parveen came to pick us for another round of seafood meal... *burpppppp* Then we were brought to her family's new house, which was damn nice... I didn't take any picture though, was a tad tired by then.. Huhu.

Second day

We woke up quite early in the morning for the wedding ceremony.. It was held in Crowne Plaza..

Kerol & I outside the hall...

Parveen marched in with the dad... She's so beautiful in her wedding dress! :)

"And you may now kiss the bride...." Awwwww.

We are so happy for her!

The newlyweds with Anushia & myself

On the way back to Holiday Inn.. :)

After went back to the hotel, we got changed and went to the Sarawak Cultural Village..

And then coming back, we went for the local dishes 'belacan bihun' and rojak plus ABC, which left us with 1 hour to get ready for the reception dinner.. Huhu..

Third day

Third day was more of a free and easy day.. We met at the lobby at about 9.30am for the Sarawak laksa, Kolo mee (for them non-Muslims) and teh 3 lapis for breakfast, before making our way to the Waterfront to look out for souvenirs.. I didn't shop much as Oya has bought for me a Sarawak tshirt before (ahem, to Oya - so I didn't buy anything for you either for you've been to Kuching before.. :P).. I only bought the fridge magnet and some Sarawak's kek lapis for Mama..

We saw this green lady (yep it's a lady!) in the middle of Waterfront main area.. Scary kan? I wonder what's that for.. Coz nak kate mintak sedekah ke ape takde pulak... Hmmm.

We then packed our stuff and checked out, before Parveen and Ryan came soon after to pick us and brought us to Parveen's house.. We had yet another nice meal for lunch, and were brought to some Sarawak pots 'factories' and also another nice place for the teh 3 lapis before sent to the airport for 7.10pm flight.. I'm so impressed the newlyweds memang 'turun padang' to provide us with such a great hospitality.. Bayangkan they just had their wedding ceremony and dinner the day & night before and going to fly off to Beijing for good the next day, but still squeezed in some time for us... My, thanks so much guys! We appreciate it so much.. It was such an eventful trip (and we were very full too! :P) and you guys looked really beautiful during both the wedding ceremony and reception dinner.. Both events were a success, congrats! Worth the sleepless nights hah Parveen? Hehe.. It's all over now, you must be all relieved!

There are lots more of other pictures actually.. But in essence, that's pretty much about it. Tonight, Parveen & Ryan are going to be in the plane with Parveen's parent, who's going to accompany them to Beijing for the first 10 days to make sure everything is all settled down for their lovely daughter and son-in-law.. And after that, Parveen's life as the lady of leisure (how envy I am! hehehe) begins... To Parveen & Ryan, I wish you guys long life happiness, a blissful marriage, and all the best! Make sure you guys gain back some weights soon... =)

Alritey.. I'm logging off now. Kerol is coming over to visit orang sakit.. *uhuk uhuk* :P

Till later!!

The one with... the busy March.. *isk*

I foresee March is so gonna end very fast, as far as I'm concerned..

Just got back from Kedah for a 2 days (Yesterday + Today) field work.. Sangat tired! But it was so pleasantly surprised to find out that Kerol, at a very late notice, had to go to Penang on Friday that we met at the Penang airport just now.. Hehehe.. Whats the odd aite? :P So both my Senior Manager (“SM”) and myself plus Kerol lepak together at Nando’s while waiting for the flight.. We were all kinda tired though so things were pretty much quiet among the 3 of us.. We separated when the time was due - Kerol boarded Air Asia whereas my SM and I boarded MAS.. I managed to get Kerol to take my trolley bag so all I left with was my laptop bag.. *grin* Anyway, luckily Kerol’s flight was not delayed for long (you know… Air Asia – what’s so new kan?), so within half an hour after I reached KLIA, Kerol arrived to pick me.. (He parked his car at LCCT)..

Hmm, you know why I said March is gona pass by so quick for me?

Weekend will be spent in JB to attend Kerol’s friend’s wedding…

Then, I’ll be back in Kedah for 3 days from Monday till Wednesday..

Then, Thursday is gona be one heck of a hectic day in office (which is pretty much expected after being away from office for the 5 days)..

I’ll be on leave on Friday to go to Kuching for Parveen’s wedding.. :) Will spend the weekend with Kerol and another group of friends there, so it will be a mini holiday of sort.. Yeay!

Then, the week after I’ll be in JB for 3 days work..

And there you go, by the time I come back to office it’s towards the end of March already… which in a way, again its time for payday!!! :D (the attempt to comfort ownself that nevermind the busy March..)

Okie dokie.. Most probably I won’t have the luxury of time to update the blog for the next couple of days, or perhaps weeks.. So, I shall leave the blog with the above update of mine...

Note: Selamat mengundi yawww! *singing* - Mari lah mariiii... Pergi mengundiiii.. Jalankan kewajipan.. pada negaraaaaa... :)

The one with... Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader?

I stumbled upon this game show yesterday night on Astro Channel 711 and I love it the minute I saw the title... Very interesting!

The show is soooo in my favourite TV show list now.. Hehehe.. *couch potato alert*

It's almost lunch break now, and while waiting for my food (am getting someone to tapao for me) am challenging myself by playing the show's trivia game... Feel free to challenge yourself too!

So, are you smarter than a 5th grader??? ;)

The one with... untittled.

The thing about being a silent reader is that you are bound to misunderstanding… You, as a silent reader may misunderstood what I’ve jot down here in my blog… and I myself, as a silent reader may feel equally the same on what you’ve written down in yours.. Ouch!

Hmm.. susah kan? *sigh*

Whatever it is, all I know is never my intention would I want to blurt out some personal attack or something like that (unless it’s being clearly stated, which is more often than not would be some office-related)…. So my advice, tolong la jangan nak unnecessarily terasa hati whatnot on what I've put down here all these while in my blog … I may not have the pure heart of an angel, but definitely I’m not as evil as the devil.. Why would I want to kacau someone’s life who doesn’t kacau mine kan? If I could just mention the number of person(s) who’ve affected my life (as in, kacau)…. That’ll be the two personsonly. (This is the example of what I meant 'clearly stated' - so yes, they are entitled to terasa if they read this as silent readers). Full stop, enough said ek..

On a happier note – Both Kerol and I just entitled ourselves each for a voucher of 3D/2N stay for 2 pax (that's for 4 pax in total yawww) at this one resort in Puncak Indonesia!! Huhu… Sangat happy. That’s the highlight of my weekend.. :)

Alritey, nite2… Esok kerja!!! :(

The one with... the middle of the night blah..

Kerol is soooo gona nag if he is to find out that I'm still wide awake and on the net at this hour.. Huhu.. We've kissed goodbyes and goodnights just now, but somehow after spending some time in the toilet, I'm feeling rather refreshed, hence the blogging.. I should be sleeping by now cause tomorrow we are suppose to wake up early to do our long abandoned Sunday morning activity – jogging. But hey, I foresee tomorrow morning KL will be poured down with rain just as it was this morning and past few days… So jogging is a no-no eh? :P We shall see..

Hmm, I’ve blabbered about it once.. and I know it’s very very unethically wrong to compare your fortune with others.. But I’m a normal human being you see, and I just can’t help it from feeling a tad disheartened and envious thinking how fortunate are other people to have what they want with the financial assistance from the parents.. And a tad furious accordingly when they can still complain.. *sigh* Well, enough said.. I should stop here.. I know I should count on my blessings, which I do.. It just that, I’m being normal over here.. You know, the once-in-a-while moment where you are feeling down and blue… Just that. Period.

Ok, moving on.

I was suppose to send my car for service this morning but I overslept.. :P Saturday has become my wake-up late day especially now that weekdays have been very hectic for me.. And this morning my sleep was extra nice as it was being complemented with the heavy rain… It was heaven! :)

Kerol was in office in the morning for some training and the moment he was done at about 1pm, he called me and I went to get ready for an outing with him… Again, something I’d realllllly love to do on weekends, hang out with Kerol if not friends… We went to the Pavillion and something funny happened when we got out of the car… I realised I was actually wearing this one high heel sandal of mine of which I’ve not been wearing for quite some time, only to find out that the heels were broken! Yes, at both sides right and left! Damn, how could I not remember and realise it when I took them out from my shoe rack??!!

Not broken like this you silly. I would have noticed don’t you think?

Its something like this.. (I’m not good with descriptive words I had to google for it for a better illustration… :P)

So the metal thingy was out whenever I walked it made this funny sound ‘ketak.. ketung.. ketak… ketung..’.. And it got stuck at the escalator too.. So embarrassing my sandal was left behind at the escalator (twice!!!), thanks to the uneven surface of the steps.. Bummer. And I almost tripped few times too because without the proper heels the sandal did not have a proper grip anymore… Huhu.. How uncomfortable.

Kerol and I then searched for a cobbler, which surprisingly they have it in the Pavillion and which is not surprisingly they charge a freaking RM17 to replace one broken heel... So two sides means RM34... Crazy! I just have to pay only RM2 – RM5 to those cobblers you can find sitting along the sidewalks of the shop houses.. Ceh. So I told Kerol, I had no choice but to go buy a pair of new shoes / sandals.. (yeay!!).. To which Kerol agreed though he pulled out a baffled face few times saying I purposely wore the broken-heels sandal so that I can get a new ones… Sheeshhh.. (Hmm.. Come to think of it, good idea anyway kan? *grin*)

So after getting a new (nice) pair of shoes for me, we went straight to GSC.. I thought that movie 27 Dresses is out by now but apparently it will be released out only on 27 March, not February.. Hmm.. Nothing else nice to watch so to match it with the timing, we bought the one closest to the time then which was at 4.30pm. The movie Martian Child was at 4.45pm, so we bought the tix, queued up to buy Snickers, corn-in-cup (so nice I never knew they do delivery straight to you in the cinema whenever they can’t get the food prepared there and then) and a drink. I would say, the movie was a bit disappointing.. Anyway, it’s subject to how you view it la kan.. But definitely it’s not Kerol’s and my cup of tea…

After the movie ended, we walked around for a while before my new shoes pulak buat hal.. Adoiii la.. Bugger! Biasa lah kan, kasut baru, kaki melecet la pulak… Luckily the plasters I brought along became a handy in time of need like that, but even then so, it didn’t last for long.. Compared to the pain I got from wearing the new shoes, I’d rather walk with that ketak ketung ketak ketung sandal, so I changed it back to my old sandal and we continued walking out of the Pavillion to go for our place of choice for dinner – The Ship at Jalan Bukit Bintang… Walking had become a bit difficult I had to hold Kerol's arm hard to get a grip.. Huhu.. Thank God the dinner saved the day (I was all grumpy by then with the stupid shoes incident, why.. of course!).. We had a nice meal of a candlelight dinner of sort, and had a really nice time together talking and laughing just about everything… Awwww.

I wanted to have the best for last so we didn’t go anywhere else after dinner.. I was home at about 9pm and had another favourite past time of mine – watching the idiot box, together with Mama..

All in all I had a good Saturday and looking forward for a better Sunday!
